In honor of Sholem Aleichem’s yahrzeit, Will Soll presents “A Yid in Amerika,” a musical and literary journey through American Jewish culture in the first half of the 20th century. Highlights of the itinerary include American klezmer music, Yiddish theater songs, poets of the sweatshop, Tin Pan Alley and the story “On America” by Sholem Aleichem.
Will Soll is a multi-instrumentalist (tenor banjo, guitar and mandolin) and vocalist. He’s one of St. Louis’ most passionate and prolific advocates of Yiddish music. In addition to his solo programs, Will performs with Rabbi James Stone Goodman, Paul Wexler, Joey Kenig and his own ensembles.
