JProStL High Holiday Lunch & Learn

JProStL is sponsoring a High Holiday Lunch & Learn for staff who work at Jewish organizations on Wednesday, September 6, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at the Jewish Federation Kaplan Feldman Complex. The overview of the Jewish calendar and upcoming Holidays is planned for staff of all faiths and backgrounds, whether new to the Jewish community, or seeking a refresher. Bring a light lunch and we’ll provide a selection of traditional Jewish foods. The session will be led by Rabbi Andrew Terkel and Hannah Rubin-Schlansky.

Rabbi Terkel is CEO of Be The Narrative which develops interactive educational programs that connect Jewish and non-Jewish peers to learn about Judaism. He is driven by a desire to make Judaism accessible, engaging, and inspiring and brings a background in Jewish youth, camping, and experiential education. Hannah is WashU Hillel Assistant director and has worked in Jewish education since growing up in St. Louis. Rabbi Terkel and Hannah met at Hebrew Union College where Rabbi Terkel was ordained as a rabbi and received a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Hannah received Masters Degrees in Jewish Education and Nonprofit Management. They are the parents of two sons.

 

JProStL, an initiative of Jewish Federation of St. Louis, is the local professional association for staff who work throughout the Jewish community, promoting professional development, networking, and the sharing of resources. Programs are supported by Mont & Karen Levy and the Lubin-Green Foundation, a supporting foundation of Jewish Federation of St. Louis. President of JProStL is Rabbi Lori Levine, Vice President is Rachel Andreasson, and Professional Development Chair is Shannon Rohlman.
