From traditional meat-and-bean cholent to creative variations with different spices\, ingredients\, and cooking techniques\, each entry offers a taste of the cook’s personal approach to this Shabbat staple.\nMore than just a food competition\, the cookoff celebrates Jewish tradition\, the warmth of Shabbat\, and the community spirit that makes Young Israel special.\nYoung Israel’s past cookoff announcements have invited attendees to sample every cholent and vote for their favorite\, with a lineup of community members and rabbis serving as chefs. There is a $5 admission fee with sponsorship opportunities available. We’re gathering to say thank you\, to welcome and recognize our newest Pomegranates\, and to celebrate what we can accomplish when women lead with generosity and heart. \nAn Evening of Jewish Joy\nWe’re thrilled to welcome Arielle Zorger as our featured speaker. Arielle is a full-time artist known for her colorful\, hand-painted “happy art”—original pieces\, art prints\, and Judaica that bring joy to modern Jewish homes. Her work has been featured in The Jewish Museum\, the North Carolina Museum of Art\, The Weitzman Museum\, and more. \nArielle will share her story: how a creative outlet became her life’s work\, the philanthropy woven into her art\, and the vibrant\, joyful style that’s become her signature. Then\, roll up your sleeves—every guest will create their own hands-on piece of art to take home\, a personal reminder of the joy and creativity that Pomegranate members bring to our community every day. \nOctober 22 | 6:30–9:00 pm\nJewish Federation of St. Louis\nExclusively for Pomegranate & Lion of Judah Society Members\nLight refreshments will be served; kosher dietary laws will be observed. \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n Arielle ZorgerMy name is Arielle and I’m a mom of two\, a full-time artist and maker based in the Charlotte\, NC area. For the past 7 years\, I’ve followed my passion for creating original\, hand-painted\, happy art in the hopes of bringing color and joy to modern Jewish homes. \nWhat initially started off as art therapy it quickly turned into my life’s work. My signature collections\, art prints\, glass trays and challah covers\, are core to my brand\, however\, I create holiday pieces and collections throughout the year that brighten up any celebration. \nMy design aesthetic is primarily focused in using simple brush strokes\, splatter paint\, bold prints and lots of colors. All pieces are made to order. \nI’m so honored to share this journey with you and am so thankful to have been featured in The Jewish Museum\, North Carolina Museum of Art\, The Weitzman Museum\, ModernTribe\, Sydney Jewish Museum\, Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience\, Traditions\, PeaceLoveLightShop\, and Jewishly. \nArielle Zorger Designs Website \nArielle Zorger Designs Instagram \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n \n \n Event Leadership\n \n\n \n \n   \nEvent Chairs \nSherri Besmer\, Laura Ellen \n \n\n \n \n   \nCommittee Members \nMarcia Barasch\, Cathy Beebe\, Erica Buchalter\, Laura Chaise\, Lisa Deutsch\, Hannah Green\, Sarah Haimann\, Susie Horowitz\, Amy Kweskin \n \n\n \n \n   \nWomen’s Philanthropy Leadership \nAmy Lampert\, Chair\nCindy Frank\, Vice Chair Development \n \n\n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n Register To Attend\n\n \n \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Name*\n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n \n Email Address*\n \n Cell Phone Number*I agree to receive text messages from Federation.\n \n \n Yes\n \n \n \n No\n I would like to register a guest*\n \n \n Yes\n \n \n \n No\n Guest Name\n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n \n Guest Email\n \n Guest Phone\n Submit URL:https://www.jfedstl.org/event/pomegranate-society-recognition-event/ LOCATION:Jewish Federation of St. Louis\, 12 Millstone Campus Dr\, St. Louis\, MO\, 63146\, United States CATEGORIES:Jewish Federation Events ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:https://www.jfedstl.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/PomHeader2026.png ORGANIZER;CN="Women's Philanthropy":MAILTO:wp@jfedstl.org END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
