DESCRIPTION:Join us for this year’s Big Read at B’na Amoona on Wednesday nights leading up to the High Holy Days! In conjunction with our theme for the year “Hazak V’Amatz\, Let us strengthen one another\,” we will be reading the book “Be A Refusenik” by Izabella Tabarovsky. Each week we will discuss a different chapter of the book. Here is the week by week breakdown. \n\n\n\nJuly 29th: Rabbi Abraham: Forward by Natan Sharansky\, Prologue\, Introduction\, and Chapter 1: Reclaim Your Zionism. \n\n\n\nAugust 5th: Cantor Nathanson: Chapter 2: Educate Yourself–And Others. \n\n\n\nAugust 12th: Marlee Cox: Chapter 3: Find Your Comrades in Arms. \n\n\n\nAugust 19th: Liessa Alperin: Chapter 4: Do the Unexpected. \n\n\n\nAugust 26th: Rabbi Skoff: Chapter 5: Reject Victimhood. \n\n\n\nSeptember 2nd: Rabbi Abraham: Lead with Jewish AND Conclusion: On Antizionist Jews and Silver Linings. \n\n\n\nPlease note: there is a $25 fee for the cost of the book.
