DESCRIPTION:Have brunch with the author who turned the Torah into a volume of modern poetry! \n\n\n\nWe’re excited to start a new season of Books and Bagels\, the J’s literary brunch & learn series\, where great conversation\, local authors\, and fresh bagels come together for a meaningful mid-morning break. \n\n\n\n“Black Fire White Fire” is a complete Torah told in poetic verse\, one foot rooted in text and the other in imagination. Rabbi Jim’s book was written over the course of three and a half years\, one poem every week until every portion of the Torah was covered.
