DESCRIPTION:Join us for an engaging five-part series that introduces The New Jewish Theatre’s 2026 season and explores emerging Jewish themes in the plays. Each session features insights from NJT’s artistic team\, lively discussions with a rabbi\, and an exclusive discount on play tickets. Everybody is welcome! \n\n\n\nAlex Edelman’s incisive and thought-provoking comedy\, Just for Us\, follows the comedian as an anti-Semitic tweet unexpectedly leads him to a meeting of White Nationalists in Queens\, face-to-face with the people behind the keyboards. His story explores religion\, cultural identity\, assimilation\, empathy\, even gorillas that use sign language\, and the profound questions that arise when confronted with hatred. Rabbi Brigitte Rosenberg of United Hebrew Congregation will lead an engaging discussion that connects the play’s themes to Jewish values\, including resilience\, identity\, and the ethical responsibilities we bear when confronting prejudice.
