Join the Jewish Federation of St. Louis for the next event in the Sh’ma: Listen! Speaker Series on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 7:00 pm: “Does Jewish Campus Life Matter? Unpacking the Hertog Study” with Chabad on Campus.

Researcher Mark Rosen, Ph.D., Associate Professor at Brandeis University’s Hornstein Jewish Professional Leadership Program, will share the findings of the Hertog Study – Chabad on Campus. He will review the findings of the study, share insights and discuss potential implications for future consideration.

Mark Rosen, Ph.D., is Associate Professor and Director of Field Experience Programs at the Hornstein Jewish Professional Leadership Program at Brandeis University. Rosen’s research and publications have examined the impact of leadership strategies, lay-professional relations, and organizational and governance structures on the effectiveness of Jewish organizations. He is the author of two in-depth case studies of Jewish organizations, “The Remaking of Hillel: A Case Study on Leadership and Organizational Transformation,” and “Mission, Meaning, and Money: How the Joint Distribution Committee Became a Fundraising Innovator.” He has also studied such topics as Jewish day schools, Birthright Israel, Jewish life on college campuses, Jewish summer camp, intermarriage and programs for Jewish families with young children.
