Women’s Philanthropy of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis will host an evening of celebration, community and giving featuring film writer and producer Nancy Spielberg. The event, A L’Chaim Production Featuring Nancy Spielberg, will take place on Wednesday, November 1 at The Ritz-Carlton St. Louis beginning with a reception at 6:15 pm. Dinner and a formal program will follow at 7:00 pm. Guests may also purchase a special ticket for “Backstage Pass”, the VIP Pre-Event from 5:30-6:30 pm to meet Nancy Spielberg and hear her personal anecdotes, including life in the filmmaking business in Israel.

Nancy is an accomplished businesswoman, producer and philanthropist. In 2008, she produced a project for the Israeli government, Celebrities Salute Israel’s 60th, which was featured in Times Square on the NASDAQ screens for one month. Nancy produced a documentary, Above and Beyond, about the Israeli Air Force in 2014 and is currently developing it as a narrative feature film. She served as a consultant on the Oscar-winning documentary Chernobyl Heart, and is an Executive Producer of Elusive Justice: The Search for Nazi War Criminals, which aired nationally on PBS, and the documentary Mimi and Dona, which was chosen as one of the best TV shows of 2015 by the New York Times. Nancy is also currently executive producing Who Will Write Our History, with director Roberta Grossman, and On The Map, with director Dani Menkin. Nancy will share stories of her professional experience as a filmmaker, growing up Spielberg and her strong Jewish identity.
