Jewish Federation of St. Louis is honored to announce the organization has been selected to receive an award from the 2015 Nonprofit Security Grant Program through the Missouri Office of Homeland Security (OHS). This grant, funded through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), helps to protect Missouri’s communities by building the capacity to prevent, mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from a catastrophic incident.

Jewish Federation of St. Louis is expected to receive an anticipated funding of $75,000. “This grant will help the Kopolow building become a more secure place for our employees and our community members who often visit the Holocaust Museum and Learning Center and the Brodsky Library,” said Andrew Rehfeld, CEO of Jewish Federation of St. Louis.

Additionally, Jewish Federation of St. Louis assisted other local organizations with applying for the grant by:

  • Distributing information on the grant
  • Helping organizations understand the grant process
  • Reviewing completed grants prior to submission upon request
  • Advocating for organizations to receive a grant

Congregation Shaare Emeth has also been selected to receive an award from the 2015 Nonprofit Security Grant Program through the Missouri Office of Homeland Security.
