While locals are consumed by post-season baseball fever, another team of Cardinals is finishing up a banner year all the way over in Israel. Because of Jewish Federation of St. Louis’ Partnership2Gether (P2G) program with the Yokneam-Megiddo, some young Israelis have named their team the Cardinals (Atlanta also partners with the region, so there is also a team named the Braves).

P2G serves families in distress and youth in need through multiple interventions that have demonstrated success. It also helps build community and leadership in Yokneam-Megiddo, while allowing St. Louisans and Israelis to connect and develop interpersonal relationships.

P2G is just one way Jewish Federation reaches out at home and into every corner of the global Jewish community to help provide a safety net for the most vulnerable.
