Patricia Flance Croughan has been nominated as chair of Jewish Federation of St. Louis, to succeed current chair Bob Millstone. She will be formally nominated and presented for election at Federation’s Annual Meeting and Installation of Officers, Tuesday, September 17.

Croughan, a psychotherapist in private practice, was the co-chair of Federation’s Annual Community Campaign in 2011 and 2012. She has served on various committees for the organization, including Caring for Jews in Need–Overseas and Budget, Finance and Administration. She chaired the Israel and Overseas Committee for many years and has been very involved in Federation’s work overseas since she became involved with the organization. She has also served on the board at MICDS and was president at Congregation Shaare Emeth.

“We are so fortunate to be going from strength to strength in this transition,” says Andrew Rehfeld, Ph.D., Federation president and CEO. “We’re excited about the unique leadership that Patty will bring to the position, and we’re grateful for the contributions that Bob has made. Bob has been an integral part of implementing our strategic plan; his leadership has guided such projects as the day school merger, the financial settlement at the JCC and the search that brought me to Federation. We are delighted that Bob will be continuing in an active leadership role as immediate past chair of the board.”

Rehfeld continues, “As campaign chair this past year, Patty led our successful Annual Community Campaign. With her as chair, we’re looking forward to implementing new and innovative ideas around engagement of the next generation, supporting the revitalization of the region and continuing to build our Jewish community.”

Members of the Jewish community will gather to install Croughan and other new officers and members of the Board of Trustees at the Annual Meeting on September 17th. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served before the meeting at 6 pm, followed by a dynamic program at 7 pm in the JCC Arts and Education Building, 2 Millstone Campus Drive.
